Laura Wilk was raised in a military family, and lived in multiple cities in the United States and Germany before settling in Texas. In addition to earning her Bachelor of Science in General Studies, Laura has over twenty years of experience in the private sector including eight years in aircraft sales for Bombardier Aerospace. Thereafter, Laura launched her own company, Wilk Research and Consulting Services, Inc. In 2009, Laura earned her teaching certification and began teaching in Plano ISD. Over the past six years, Laura has worked as an advocate and strategist for students, helping them to be independent and confident in academics and in life. She is happiest when her students are thriving.
Laura is married and has two beautiful teenage daughters, a greyhound and a cat. She is an avid runner and spends as much time as possible outside, finding new trails to explore. In addition to 5k, half marathons and full marathons, Laura loves the challenge of competing in Mud Runs and Ragnar Relays with her husband Adam. She is excited to be a Titan and incorporate her love of fitness to the campus gym this year.
