Anna Galvez was born and raised in Dallas and graduated from Greenhill School. Anna watched The Blindside for the first time when she was in college, which made her remember how her own high school teachers and mentors impacted her life. This realization pushed her to become a high school teacher. She earned her BSEd from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) with a double-major in Educational Studies and Spanish. One summer during her undergraduate years, Anna interned with a camp called Project Transformation, helping children from low socioeconomic areas around Dallas maintain or improve their literacy rates. Anna also served as vice president of her sorority, and worked as a student intern in TCU’s athletic department all four years. In addition, she lived in Jacksonville, FL for a summer where she worked as an HR intern at the PGA TOUR.
Anna previously taught Spanish at WT White High School in Dallas before arriving at Academy High to teach eager Spanish learners. When not teaching, Anna loves watching TCU football, catching up on Netflix originals, visiting local coffee shops, taking photos, and last, but certainly not least, eating pizza.
