Paige Stephens grew up in Belgrade, MT. While in high school she participated in a foreign exchange program in Chile, where she learned proficient Spanish.
Her love for foreign language and culture led her to enlist in the US Army so she could attend the prestigious Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, CA. She was given a position in the Korean Language Studies program and awarded an AA degree there. Upon completion of her training, she was deployed to South Korea for three years and subsequently stationed at Fort Meade, MD and Afghanistan. During her service, she also completed a BS in Global Business and Public Policy through UMUC, Adelphi, MD. After completing her military service, Paige went to California to work for a family business in oil and natural gas before deciding to become a teacher. She is very excited to share her experiences spanning across 27 countries with her students, encouraging them to see the world through a global lens. One of her biggest passions is social equality, which she believes is best addressed in the education system where she feels everyone should be afforded the same opportunities in life following a challenging and supported learning career. When not engaged in facilitating learner growth, Paige reads avidly, does yoga, plans for her next travel experience, or plays fetch with her little black Pomeranian named Dorrie.
