Linda Aponte – Facilitator
Linda Aponte was raised in the Midwest and split her academic years between the urban diversity of Chicago and the more casual lifestyle of Minneapolis. Linda graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis on drawing and painting. Prior to finding her love of teaching, she dabbled in the corporate world, working in a graphics studio before building a career in retail management. As an art teacher with Plano ISD, Linda helped develop and write the middle school art curriculum, served as the PISD middle school lead art teacher, co-authored the TEA innovative Arts and Media Communications course, and has been a presenter at numerous professional development experiences around the state. Linda’s goals are to create an environment in which learners are inspired to explore their creativity as they apply innovative methods to showcase their knowledge.
