Stephanie Hirsch – Facilitator
Stephanie Hirsch was born several years ago on a sunny September afternoon in Minnesota. After many long, snowy winters and visits to the State Fair’s Dairy Pavilion, the Hirsch family moved down to Plano, Texas. Stephanie went on to graduate from Plano ISD and attended the University of Texas at Dallas, earning a degree in mathematics. Her teaching career began at Jasper High School and she eventually found her way to McMillen High School where she became a member of the founding faculty and served as the math department chair. In between all the algebraic fun with those awesome ninth and tenth graders, Stephanie also managed to obtain her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction for mathematics from UTA. Despite being such a math fiend, Stephanie fancies herself a bit of a geek, proudly touting a wealth of Star Wars knowledge and other sci-fi trivia. When she isn’t teaching, she loves to read, play video games and has recently taken up sewing (which is a lot harder than it seems).
